Round Britain 2008
The race billed as "The Greatest Offshore Powerboat Race in the World" and only held twice before in 1969 and 1984 the famous Round Britain Offshore Powerboat Race is being held once again in 2008. Competitors and boats will be racing over 1600 punishing miles.
RIB hulls manufactured by Shakespeare will be competing in both RB2 and RB3 classes, and it is a testament to the quality and reputation that customers have chosen RIB hulls manufactured by us. In addition Shakespeare will be entering a factory prepared Shakespeare 960 in the cruiser class.
Shakespeare powerboats have had a long and illustrious racing past as befits a company founded by one of the foremost racers of his day. Throughout the last 40 years Shakespeare's have raced successfully throughout the world in numerous classes.
This competition experience has enabled us to remain at the forefront of leading edge technology in both manufacturing and ensuring all our hulls have a race proven pedigree.
Indeed we can proudly boast that all of the four boats that Shakespeare International Marine built for the epic test of endurance that the Round Britain 2008 Powerboat Race provided successfully completed every leg and crossed the finish line.
